Part V：Writing of the National College English Test 4 consists of one question with 30 minutes of examination time. It requires the candidate to write a 100-120 sentence essay without changing the original meaning. The topic may be given in the paper, or specific scenarios may be assigned or ask for a picture composition, or give the opener of the paragraph to continue; or key words are given to write a article. It should be able to express the ideas correctly, the meaning is coherent and there are no major grammar errors. The content includes daily life and general knowledge. The purpose of the writing part is to test the student’s initial ability to express ideas in English.

Part I: Listening Comprehension of the National College English Test 4 includes 30 questions with 30 minutes of test time. After each question in the listening section, there is a gap of about 15 seconds and the candidate is asked to choose the best answer from any of the four choices given in the paper. The speed of the recording is about 120 words per minute, read once.

Part II: Reading Comprehension of the National College English Test 4 contains 20 questions and 40 minutes of examination time.
